Creativity Takes Shape: The Best Uses for Washi Tape

Washi tape is one of my favorite things to have on hand. It’s convenient, cheap, and comes in so many colors and patterns that I can always find something that matches my mood or the occasion. I love using Washi Tape Printing as a finishing touch on projects, but sometimes it’s fun to use it as the main event. Whether you’re looking to make your crafts more interesting or just want to add a little flair to your everyday life, here are some of my favorite ways that you can use washi tape:

Put it on keys.

We’ve all been there: the keys are on the counter, but they’re not where you left them. The washi tape is a great way to turn your keys into something that doesn’t look like every other key in the world and makes it easy for anyone who has your keys to find them when they’re misplaced. If you find yourself constantly losing or misplacing your set of keys, try adding as much color and personality as possible by decorating them with washi tape!

If you love decorating things with washi tape (and we think everyone should), then this is an excellent way for you to add some fun patterns or designs onto an ordinary item like a key ring. You could also use this method for other objects around the house that need some extra spice such as furniture legs or even picture frames!

Frame it.

  • Use washi tape to frame a photo.
  • Use washi tape to frame a picture.
  • Use washi tape to frame a picture of you.
  • Use washi tape to frame a picture of someone you love.
  • Use washi tape to frame a picture of your favorite movie or TV show character, real or fictional; add some flair by writing on it with different colors and patterns!

Make a picture frame.

  • Use a frame that is the same size as your photo.
  • Use washi tape to create a border around the photo.
  • Use washi tape to create a border around the frame.
  • Use washi tape to create a border around both.

Make paper clips out of it.

If you’re looking for a new and fun way to spruce up your office supplies, washi tape paper clips are the perfect solution. Washi tape is strong, colorful and stiff enough to keep your papers together without having to use glue. You can also use washi tape on plain paper clips as a decorative touch or even give them away as gifts during special occasions like Christmas or Mother’s Day!

Make bookmarks from washi tape.

  • Use washi tape to cover the spine of a book. Instead of using boring masking tape, cover your book’s spine with washi tape.
  • Cover the pages of a book in washi tape. There are many ways to use this method; you could wrap it around each page and then use adhesive dots or hot glue on the back to hold it there, or you could just cut up pieces of washi and stick them in between every few pages for an even more decorative effect.
  • Decorate the pages with small bits of patterned paper, stickers, pens and pencils or even paint! The possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating your books’ pages with things like glittery pens that turn black when you erase them (a fun way to add some extra personality).

Decorate your shoes with washi tape.

A great way to show off your washi tape collection is by decorating your shoes! You can use washi tape to create patterns on the sole, design a pattern on the top part of the shoe, or even just put strips of it all over. If you’re feeling extra creative, try using different types of washi tape (or two different colors) in one shoe.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating shoes with washi tape!

Decorate a wall clock with washi tape.

You can decorate a wall clock in no time with washi tape. Just cut out a few pieces of colored washi tape, and apply them to the face of the clock. Depending on how much you want to cover up, you can use more or less than one color of tape. You could also choose to use multiple colors at once!

You could even put some on the border around your clock face if you have enough room—it looks really cool!

Use it for labeling things or putting up notes or photos.

You can use Washi Tape Printing to label things. Use it to put up notes or photos. You can make a photo album or decorate a wall with washi tape.

Washi tape can be used for everyday applications or to create truly custom projects

One of the things I love about washi tape is that it can be used for everyday applications or to create truly custom projects. It’s an easy way to decorate items and make them unique. You can use it to add color and pattern, making everything from office supplies to household items more interesting. Washi tape is also perfect for artists who want to repurpose old objects into art pieces, like these DIY pencil holders made from mason jars:
