A Wildlife Adventure in Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is India’s most popular national park. It was established in 1936 and given its current name in honour of Jim Corbett, a famous hunter who was instrumental in its founding. The park was the very first sanctuary to get involved with the Project Tiger mission.

The park provides guests with a selection of activities, such as tiger safaris, resort stays, and exploration of the local fauna. In addition to forests and grasslands, the area now has wetlands, hills, river basins, grasslands, and woods. It is now bigger than 500 square kilometres. Each year, the park welcomes in excess of 800,000 people. The tropical rain forest is home to a wide range of rare and special plants and animals.

How To Get There:

There are many different routes that we may take to get to the national park, which is situated in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and is home to a variety of wildlife. The fact that this park is the oldest in the nation has made it popular not just with those who like being outside but also with visitors.

The park has not created any specific air facilities of its own as of yet. The most convenient domestic airport for getting to the park is at Phoolbagh, which is located in Pantnagar and is approximately 100 kilometres away from the park itself. From major cities all over the country, there are many flights to this part of the country.

The country’s railways are perhaps its most important infrastructure. The Ramnagar station is the one that is most convenient for reaching the national park. Trains depart on a regular basis from several regions scattered throughout the nation.

The roads system in Jim Corbett provides excellent access to the area. You may get there by using either a public bus or a private cab, both of which are available.

How To Proceed:

Your visit to Jim Corbett will be exciting and educational. You’ll learn about many features of forests and natural ecosystems. You may access the park through one of its numerous entrance gates. The entrance fee for foreign tourists is Rs. 400, while the fee for local tourists is Rs. 600. Additional fees, such as car entrance, must be paid. Buses will cost Rs. 750, while smaller cars will cost Rs. 200. If you are carrying a camera, you must provide Rs. 500 as security.

The park provides access to a wide variety of activities that may be enjoyed. Some of these include the following:

Elephant Safari: An elephant safari is without a doubt one of the most thrilling things to do in Jim Corbett.

Jeep Safari: This excursion is perfect for individuals who are interested in getting a more in-depth look at the woodland. During your Jeep Jim Corbett Safari, your guide will drive you further into the jungle, where there is a better possibility of seeing tigers.

Corbett Museum: Another location of interest that has the items and things of Jim Corbett, the creator of this park; the museum bears his title.
