The terms “Product Owner” and “Project Manager” are sometimes used interchangeably. While the Product Owner and Project Manager may both be the same individual in some businesses, this is not always the case. Yes, there are some similarities between the duties and roles, but overall, they differ.

So what distinguishes a project manager from a scrum product owner? The fact that both roles are managerial roles working with their teams to deliver the product or project in line with organizational goals to achieve the bottom line is undisputed. Who are the product owners?

A project manager is responsible for it from the beginning to the end. Along with making sure the team produces its best work, he must make sure the project is planned, carried out, and delivered by the desired standards and objectives, and within the allotted time and financial constraints.
