The Honor X7 was released globally in March 2022 and positioned the phone as an affordable alternative to the cheap Samsung and Xiaomi phones that flooded the market. As an affordable mid-to-low-end phone, the Honor X7 phone lacks 5G support. While the lack of 5G might put some users off, it’s still one of the most balanced phones in terms of specs.
This is a mobile phone that is urgently needed in the global market, especially at this price point, which is dominated by Redmi series mobile phones. In terms of appearance, the honor x7 smartphone is quite different from the similarly priced Samsung and Xiaomi smartphones. Having said that, let’s start with a detailed review of the Honor X7 smartphone.
Honor X7 smartphone review
· The Honor X7 features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
· The phone is powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset built with Adreno 610 GPU.
· The phone comes with the Android 11 operating system out of the box with a MagicUI 4.2 user interface.
· The main rear camera sensor is a 48MP sensor, while the selfie camera is an 8MP sensor.
· The phone is equipped with a lithium-polymer 5000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.
Design and Display
Speaking of the design of the Honor X7, aside from the fact that the display is indeed glass, the phone has an all-plastic design. The all-plastic side and back design might put some off, but you’ll have to look at its asking price. Even though it’s all plastic, the phone still looks beautiful thanks to some clever design techniques.
The plastic back has a matte finish, but the way it reflects light makes it look like concentrated light coming out of the camera module, which is pretty nice to look at. Also, the lens size inside the camera module is quite large, which also makes the back look unique. The phone is available in two colors, Ocean Blue and Titanium Silver.
Memory and internal
Internally, the Honor X7 is powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset with the main frequency of up to 2.4GHz. The GPU isn’t too bad either. The Adreno 610 GPU is said to be able to handle graphics-intensive games such as PUBG and CODm at lower graphics to ensure smoother framerates, so no Ultra or Extreme framerate options are available by default.
This smartphone has a total of 4 rear cameras, but the 48MP camera is the main highlight of the camera system, the rest of the sensors are only 5MP ultra-wide and two 2MP macro and depth, so there is nothing to say. The main camera captures detailed, well-balanced photos.
In the ending thoughts, the Honor X7 smartphone has decent performance, a high refresh rate, and a battery capacity. Other specs like camera, display, sensor, etc. are good. Some specs are manageable given the price, while others are not. Whether a cell phone is right for you depends on your needs for a cell phone. With this budget, you can’t expect world-class performance.
