The 300Hp Mazda 3 is coming! Mazda executives have revealed that the 300Hp 2.2L Skyactiv-D engine is being tested and will be available in the Mazda 3!

www.autofun.co.th—In a recent interview with Mazda’s President (Akira Marumoto) and Managing Director (Ikuo Maeda), the Japanese media got the big news! They revealed that Mazda is planning to develop and test a 300Hp 2.2L skyactiv-D turbo engine, and that this engine may be put into the 2024 Mazda 3!

In an interview with the Japanese media at the Super Taikyu race at Suzuka, Mazda’s Managing Director Ikuo Maeda said that Toyota and Subaru are really strong with their new engines and technology, and that Mazda is actually testing an upgraded 2.2L Skyactiv-D diesel-turbo engine to meet the bigger challenge. Turbo engine, which is expected to reach 300Hp!

The Mazda 2 is currently Mazda’s main car for the Super Taikyu race, but given that the Mazda 2’s engine bay and body structure does not seem to be suitable for the 2.2L Skyactiv-D engine, the Japanese press asked Mazda’s Chief Executive Officer, Ikuo Maeda, if the 300Hp 2.2L Skyactiv-D engine would be placed in the Super Taikyu race. Skyactiv-D engine in the Mazda 3 and use the Mazda 3 as the new race car for the Super Taikyu race? Ikuo Maeda said: “It’s a secret, but the Mazda 3″~ and more information about the 300Hp engine was provided.

After all, with the current engine figures of 200PS and 450Nm of torque, the power is already very good, and if Mazda strengthens the turbo system, intake system, exhaust system and engine components, I believe 300Hp will not be a problem at all. Of course, to meet future emissions regulations, the 300Hp 2.2L Skyactiv-D engine is said to be powered by BioDiesel.

Finally, Mazda executives have not revealed when the 300Hp 2.2L Skyactiv-D engine will make its debut. But for now it’s almost certain that it will make its debut in the Mazda 3! But at first, Mazda will definitely use it for racing to gain more experience and data, but will it eventually be mass-produced and put into more civilian cars? We’ll see!
