If you are using Sage 50 and have installed the 2022 update, you may find that you are unable to start Sage 50. This is because the update includes a change to the way that Windows handles signed files, and Sage 50 is not currently signed. There is a workaround available, which involves setting Windows to use an older version of the file signing algorithm. To do this, open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and go to the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\OID\EncodingType 0\CryptSIPDLLCreateObjectChange the value of this key from “CryptSIPDllCreateObject” to “LegacyCreateObject”. You should then be able to start Sage 50 as normal. If you encounter any problems with this workaround, or if it does not work for you, please contact Sage support for further assistance.
