How Does the Apple Watch Charger Work?

Apple Watch Charger

The Apple Watch is an excellent piece of team excellence with many features. One of the features is the ability to track your fitness and activity. To keep the watch charged, an inductive charger uses magnets to align the watch and then charge it. Here is a step-by-step guide on how the charger works.

The first step is to ensure the charger plugged into a power source. Once it plugged in, you must place the apple watch on the charger. There are two gold contacts on the back of the watch. That need to line up with the two gold contacts on the apple watch charger. Once those lined up, you will see a charging icon on the screen of your watch. If the screen does not turn on, you can press the side button to turn it on. The inductive charging process begins as soon as the Watch detects that it properly aligned with the magnetic charger.

A full charge from a 0% battery will take around 2.5 hours. If you’re using the stock 5W Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable and Adapter or around 1.5 hours if you have an aftermarket wireless charger that delivers 7.5W or more (the maximum power transfer rate possible for Qi chargers). You can use your Apple Watch while it charges. And specific settings and activities will temporarily reduce power consumption to help speed things along.

When your Apple Watch reaches 100%, it’ll continue charging for another 30 minutes. Before cutting off power flow to prevent overcharging and preserve battery health long term. After those 30 minutes have elapsed. Simply disconnect your Watch from its magnetic charger — there’s no risk in leaving it connected indefinitely once it hits 100%. However, we still recommend removing it from its charger when you’re done. So you don’t accidentally knock it off your nightstand during the night. Leave scuffs behind on either device from extended contact.

The apple watch inductive charger is a great way to keep your watch charged without fumbling with cables. It’s quick and easy to use, and you can even use your watch while charging!
