In 2013, I started my own fashion label called The Black Stussy Hoodie, which is based in Singapore. The label is named after one of my favorite brands, Stussy, and the black hoodie is my signature piece.

The name “The Black Stussy Hoodie” was inspired by the iconic streetwear brand Stussy. Like The Hoodie is simple, yet fashionable. The goal of the label is to provide high-quality hoodies that can be worn by anyone and everyone.

So far, The Black Hoodie has been a huge success. The label has been featured in many publications, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Jamila’s goal is to continue to grow The Stussy Hoodie so that it becomes a household name.

The Start of TBS The Black Stussy Hoodie

In 1998, Shawn Stussy, the founder of the clothing brand The Stussy Hoodie, was living in New York City and working as a designer at a skateboard company. One day, he decided to start his own company and sell his own line of skateboard decks. He started with just a few designs, but quickly began to gain popularity for his unique style.
